Two More Days

Two more days until my dentist appointment. I went to the ER last Sunday for antibiotics because the toothache is so bad. Apparently it's an exposed nerve. There is no abscess. I am hoping the dentist will go ahead and pull the tooth Friday. The pain has been one of the worst pains I have ever felt in my life, right up there with giving birth and the time I accidentally burned my eyeball with a curling iron. I'm sure pain has at least a little to do with my current mental state. Pain can truly drive you insane. So pain, nausea, depression, paranoia, hallucinations, anxiety, and racing thoughts have been my life this week. I can't even read to escape reality because I can't concentrate. But enough moaning and groaning. I know things could still be worse than this. At least I have a good support system. That makes a difference.

Good luck at the dentist. I hope they can get the pain under control for you.

Thanks. I hope so too. I have not been to a dentist in a long time, which is why I am having problems now of course. I regret not taking better care of my teeth.

It's been over two days since you posted this so I hope that means you got your tooth fixed.

I can attest to that pain. That happened to me years ago. I lived in the middle of nowhere so the closet emergency dentist was over an hour away. My husband worked nights so I had to drive myself up there and I was sobbing in pain the whole way and got lost multiple time because I couldn't concentrate.

This was before the good old days of cell phones and gps lol. I think I even had to stop at a phone booth to call for directions :-)

Oh no, that sounds awful! It's a wonder you didn't have a wreck.

Just now seeing your comment, but yes, the tooth was pulled and I have felt great ever since.
