Again

Apparently I'm having a relapse of the flu. What gives??  I even had the flu shot this year, though I know it doesn't always work. I just hope my son doesn't catch it again. Douglas and my mom have been lucky so far. I guess their flu shots worked.

No luck on my resolutions so far, but I'm sure I will make some headway after I get well.

Mentally I'm doing great. I hope the flu doesn't change that. Last time I was in a very dark place for a few days.

I was planning on going to the library tomorrow but I don't want to spread my germs. I'm out of stuff to read and it's driving me crazy! I have a stack of Reader's Digest somewhere around here, but I want to read an actual book. I have some on hold at the library so maybe my dear sweet husband will pick them up for me ;) I averaged 1-2 books a week last year, and I hope to either meet or beat that amount this year. I wish I could read every single (good) book in the world before I die but I don't have a magic wand for that. So I will just have to read as many as I can until my unfortunate demise. I've always pictured myself dying at the age of 42, so that doesn't give me much time. Three and a half years will go by quickly.

Oh no! I hope you feel better. I read somewhere that the flu shot was only 10% effective for the type that's going around this year. It's a gamble but still worth getting I think.

I'm having trouble getting motivated this week because of the cold. I just want to hide under the comforter.

I hope you can get out to at least get a few books soon!

The cold weather definitely curbs my productivity. I just want to hibernate lol

I hope you feel better soon. If you have a Kindle device you can find free ebooks on Amazon.

Thanks, Mary. I have never gotten into reading ebooks. I'm old fashioned I guess. I just prefer reading from an actual book. My husband, on the other hand, prefers the ebooks.
