The other day I checked out a book from the library called Rise The Dark by Michael Koryta. I just finished it and it ended with a huge cliffhanger that was quite annoying because I didn't realize this was a series and not a stand alone book. Nothing on the book jacket mentions anything about being a series. I did some Googling and apparently this is Book #2 but I can't find anything about a Book #3. Rise The Dark was published in 2016 so surely there's a #3 out there somewhere by now. I am so confused. This wasn't exactly a terrific book but it was good enough that I'd like to know the rest of the story. So I'm pretty annoyed at the moment.
As for some good news, I finally passed my kidney stone today, so no more excruciating pain, yay!

I hate when that happens with series. I was really hooked on one and the author kept delaying the 4th in the series. It's been years and she still occasionally pops up to say she's working on it. But I've given up at this point.

You and I definitely agree on that.
It's easy to lose interest when the wait for the next book takes so long.
I would be royally annoyed!!!! Things like this make people with OCD just want to cry.
